Utolsó módosítás: 2015. április 27.

The main mission of the Department, which was formed in 2000, is to run the library informatics B.A and M.A. programs and coordinate the Assessment and Evaluation and Quality and Process Management preparatory programs for specialized professional examination and the Interactive e-Library specialized post-graduate programs.

The Department also contributes to the overall teaching profile of the College by familiarising students with the basic aspects of information and communication technology and complementing the instruction in programs in which students require more advanced and sophisticated informatics skills. Furthermore, in addition to active e-learning curriculum development, in cooperation with the Informatics Centre the Department performs basic and applied research indispensable to the informatics-related development of the Library and the College. The Department, which is led by Tünde Molnár-Lengyel, has 9 full time instructors, 5 of whom hold advanced degrees, and two part-time instructors.
